Vegan Immune Boosting Smoothies Recipe

These smoothies are a great way to pack in loads of nutrients with minimal fuss, so there’s no excuse.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • We use spinach, orange and berries as they’re anti-oxidising and full of vitamin C.
  • Turmeric is known for its anti inflammatory properties.
  • Almonds and sunflower seeds are a great source of vitamin E.

Vegan Immune Boosting Smoothies Recipe

Immune-Boosting Smoothies 3 Ways

Serves: 3 smoothies Prep Time: 5 minutes each
Nutrition facts: 200 calories 20 grams fat

Ingredients

Vegan Immune Boosting Smoothies Recipe Orange & Turmeric

  • 1 orange
  • 1/2 carrot
  • 1/4 thumb of fresh ginger (8g / 0.3oz)
  • 1 date
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 150ml / 5 fl.oz almond milk
  • 250ml / 8.5 fl.oz water

Spinach & Apple

  • 1 apple
  • 1 date
  • 1 celery stick
  • 4 cubes of frozen spinach (100g / 3.5oz ) (or sub for a handful of fresh spinach)
  • squeeze of fresh lemon juice
  • small handful of walnuts
  • 250ml / 8.5 fl.oz almond milk 
  • 250ml / 8.5 fl.oz water

Berry & Almond

  • 1 banana
  • 120g / 4.2oz frozen berries
  • 1 tbsp almonds butter
  • 1 tbsp sunflower seeds
  • 150ml / 5 fl.oz almond milk
  • 250ml / 8.5 fl.oz water

Method

Orange & Turmeric

  1. Peel the orange, slice the carrot into small pieces, peel and slice the ginger and remove the stone from the date. 
  2. Add all the ingredients from step 1 into a blender along with the turmeric, almond milk and water and blend until smooth, then serve.

Spinach & Apple

  1. Quarter the apple and remove the core, top and tail the celery and cut it into small pieces and remove the stone from the date. Add all three ingredients to a blender along with the spinach, a squeeze of lemon, the walnuts, almond milk and water. 
  2. Blend until smooth then serve.

 

Berry & Almond

  1. Peel the banana and add it to a blender along with the berries, almond butter, sunflower seeds, almond milk and water. 
  2. Blend until smooth then serve.
